Replacing Toshiba Notebook Hard Drive Please Help. How Do I Decide Which New Hard Drive Will Be Compatible With My Computer?

Please help. How do I decide which new hard drive will be compatible with my computer? - replacing toshiba notebook hard drive

The good news is that Chuck is not my laptop in the hallway when I was angry when he died, because I discovered is what I have to do to replace the disk =). I need help in determining which drives are available compatible.

The computer is a Compaq Presario 1500T laptop purchased in 2002. There is) a Pentium 4 (2.0 GHz, 2000MHz speed. 256 MB of RAM with 16/256 conceals.

The hard disk will need to replace a Toshiba 40 GB ATA interface that is presented as 2,3,4,5. (The hard drive contained ATA/100 I often say ... what does this mean?).

I can get a new HP, but I suppose if I spend the money, as NOWS must be a good time to go bigger.

How do I know if have the new hard drive that is compatible with my computer, and a negative impact on the processor and RAM?

Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated! =)

ATA/100 is for desktops. I'm proud of myself at all. May striker cost only $ 80, but I'm not sure how the hard drive. You can motherboard amount of RAM you on and what was needed. My laptop is 6 years. They can be entirely to consider upgrading to a new machine.

If this is not a high priority would be to a new computer store. Whether you still need a laptop or desktop. Acer machines too great customer service.

Good luck!
